Buhari is in high spirit – Osinbajo



President Muhammadu Buhari currently in London on medical vacation “is in high spirit and is doing very well and recuperating”, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said.
Osinbajo who visited the president on Tuesday in London said on Wednesday that, “we had a very good time” and good conversation.

A former Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Anthony Elujoba, has been remanded in Ilesha Prisons after the bail application was dismissed.
Justice David Oladimeji of the Federal High Court in Ede, Osun State, ruled that Mr. Elujoba be remanded till July 19 when the case will be brought for hearing.

Ooni Of Ife Criticized For Bowing To Greet Senator "Bukola Saraki".


The Ooni of Ife, is currently being bashed online after a photo surfaced of him greeting the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, profusely with two hands.
Recall there was an online uproar when the Oba of Lagos, snubbed him pint blank at an occasion early this year. Well, another ‘greeting drama’ is here.

5 dead, 3 injured after a container fell on a Danfo bus, this morning, in Ojota, Lagos.


An articulated truck conveying a 40ft container Laden with plywood fell on a Volkswagen commercial bus (Danfo), in the early hours of today, in Ojota, Lagos, and trapped some passengers.

CAN constitutes prayer committee for Buhari



The Nasarawa State Chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has setup a committee to intensify prayers for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari currently on medical vacation in London.
The state’s CAN Chairman, Bishop Joseph Masin , made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia on Thursday.

Fashola attacks Goje, says your language unparliamentary


The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday hit back at Senator Danjuma Goje, stressing that the legislator’s utterances and choice of words were “unparliamentary and therefore not deserving of a reply.”
The minister also said it was regrettable that Goje, the Chairman, Committee Chairman on Appropriation, would seek to trivialise the issues he (Fashola) raised about the unilateral slashing of the budgetary allocation to key national infrastructure by the National Assembly.

In what appeared to be a ‘female first’ decision, the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, refused to shake President Donald Trump’s hand when he attempted to have a handshake with her by extending his hand.
The American president had just had a powerful handshake with Agata Kornhauser-Duda’s husband, Polish President, Andrzej Duda, and had naturally made to also have a warm handshake with the wife of his host.

Police arrest Imo Catholic priest for shooting his assistant

The parish priest in charge of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Eziama – Osuama in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Rev Father Christian Amusuo, has been arrested by the operatives of the state police command for allegedly shooting his assistant, only identified as Rev Father Precious.

JAMB will not reschedule exam for late comers- Oloyede


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said on Saturday that there would be no rescheduling of examination for candidates who reported late for the mop-up examination. Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said this while reacting to complaints by candidates sitting for the mop-up examination at the board’s Computer-Based Centre (CBT) in Bwari, FCT.
