I don’t need star power to validate my debut album - Korede Bello


Image result for korede bello photoMavin records singer, Korede Bello, has finally explained the reason behind his refusal to feature his label mates or any other artiste on his debut album. The velvety voiced singer, who recently released his first body of work which he titled ‘Belloved’, said he didn’t want to exploit star power to make an impression with his debut album.

He emphasized that the acceptability and success of his debut album should not be dependent on collaborating with his label mates or any other top artiste. He went further to explained that he wanted to give something to his fans exclusively, to show appreciation for the love and support they have accorded him so far in his music career, which informed his decision to feature only his fans on one track off the already released album.

Jim Iyke resurfaced in America.


Image result for jim iyke photoNollywood star boy, Jim Iyke, who has been missing on the big screen in recent times has resurfaced in America. He was one of the seasoned actors that featured in Lancelot Imasuen’s upcoming romantic comedy titled “Yet Another Wedding Day,” which was shot in the States few weeks back.

Lancelot who returned to the last week recounts that it was a comeback movie for Jim Iyke, whom he said, had a swell time with his colleagues on set. He described the six man-cast movie as “another unimaginable trailer from me.”

Arsenal in deeper trouble as keeper Cech injures


Arsenal are facing the prospect of being without first Choice goalkeeper Petr Cech for up to a month with a calf injury.

Cech was forced off just before half time in Arsenal’s shock 3-1 defeat to West Brom on Saturday and scan results have revealed Arsene Wenger’s worst fears.

Premier League 2017/18 seasons fixture date revealed

The announcement will be made at 9am, with the season expected to get underway earlier than the 2016/17 campaign due to next year’s World Cup in Russia.  
With some potential twists and turns remaining in the 2016/17
season, some fans will already be eyeing the coming campaign and it’s very much a case of diaries out now the date has been confirmed.

EEDC begins installation of pre-paid meters on transformers

Enugu — The Enugu Electricity Distribution Commission, EEDC, has started the installation of pre- paid meters on transformers across the South-East zone to curtail incidences of over-billing bulk consumers. Head, Communications, EEDC, Mr Emeka Eze, made this known while responding to enquiries by Vanguard on the non-provision of pre-paid meters for individual consumers or residential houses.
