'I started stealing from childhood' - 31-year old Joshua Tahiti reveals



31-year old Joshua Tabiti, has revealed that he has tried everything possible to stop his stealing habit.
According to Joshua, he started stealing right from his childhood. He was arrested alongside 3 others Oluseye Arokoyo (34), Ahmed Alli (24) and Moses Ofoke (31), for stealing cars.

Tabiti said; “I have done everything to stop stealing, but I couldn’t. My parents also tried their best, but I cannot do away with robbery. I was sacked where I worked as a driver after I stole my boss’ money.”

Suspected huge thugs raped six nurses at night



Six female nurses were reportedly raped by suspected thugs on Sunday, September 24, 2017. The men were said to have stormed the hospital carrying cutlasses and axes.

A source who spoke to newsmen said a suspected thug had earlier tried calling one of the nurses several times but she did not pick her calls, so he instead showed up at the hospital.

The thug got there but was still ignored by the nurse an act that angered him and made him call other thugs to the hospital. The guys came with dangerous weapons around 11pm.

No recorded case of monkey pox in Ogun state - State Commissioner of Heath claims



The Ogun state Commissioner for Health, Babatunde Ipaye, has shut down claims of monkey pox surfacing in the state. He made this known at a press conference which held in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had on Monday declared that 31 suspected cases of monkeypox had so far been reported in seven states, a statement Ipaye, has shut down.

Tragedy as woman bathes husband with acid to death in Imo state



Residents of Akwakuma Autonomous Community in the Owerri North Council Area of Imo State are in grief after the murder of a stonemason, Raymond Ihugba, by his wife.

The 50-year-old father of four children was reportedly killed by his wife, Augustina, after a protracted misunderstanding between them.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the remains of the victim had been deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, while the suspect was on the run.

EBSU finally year student killed by robbers for fighting back at them



A certain Chinedu Linus, a student of Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has been killed by gunmen on Friday, in Ebonyi.

According to Spokesperson of the Ebonyi state police command, ASP Loveth Odah, Linus was first robbed before he was eventually killed him.

“I urge students not to confront robbers or any person bearing arms whenever they are attacked because such a person was no longer normal. .
It is only a living person that makes use of valuables as no amount of valuables in ones’ possession can equate to life,” she said.The robbers according to a witness gained entrance into the Lucky City Hostel, where the deceased resided.

Two boys Christopher Abah, 19, and 18-year-old Lorhen Mark have been arrested by SARS operative at the old bridge for cult related issues.

Two live cartridges, a locally fabricated pistol with 3 face caps including a camouflaged one, were recovered form them.

A 31-year-old woman arrested for pouring hot water mixed with pepper on husband's penis



The Lagos state police command has arrested a 31-year-old housewife, Ngozi Obasi, for allegedly pouring a pot of hot water mixed with pepper on her husband’s private part.

Ngozi, was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ in Lagos on Thursday.where she is being charged with attempted murder to which she pleaded not guilty.

Police prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin, told the court that Ngozi committed the offence on Oct. 1 at 3.00 a.m. at their residence in Ebute Meta.

Charly Boy files N500m lawsuit against NPF over alleged harassment


Charly Boy has filed N500m lawsuit against the Nigerian Police over the alleged harassment he faced with other protesters during his 'Resume or Resign' protest on the 8th of August in Abuja.

Recall that the Area father slumped during the protest at the Unity Fountain following the effects of tear gas canister and water cannons used on the protesters by the Police, but the authorities described the musician as being overdramatic when he slumped.
In the lawsuit filed against the FCT Police Command at the FCT High Court in Maitama on Wednesday, Charly Boy is seeking  “an order compelling the Police to publish a public apology to him in five National Newspapers, and the payment of the sum of N500m as general damages.

Lagos state police command has arrested two Uber drivers who specialize in robbing their female passengers of their valuables at gunpoint.

The men Fosta Rufus, 30, and Franklin Jogbodo, according to, Mohammed Sanusi, Special anti-robbery boss, usually pick up their victims around Lekki, Ajah and Victoria Island areas of Lagos.

A group of masquerades have been arrested by officers of the Lagos state police command for robbing members of a community at Elere area of Agege Lagos.

According to the police officials, the masquerades who were not given the go-ahead by the traditional ruler,attempted to attack the officers when they were nabbed.

Two lounge-hopping women targeted men staying at swanky Manhattan hotels, and robbed them once the men fell asleep, cops said.

Police on Tuesday released photos of the suspects, who targeted three tourists over a six-day stretch in August.

One victim, a 38-year-old man, met one of the woman at The Top of the Standard Lounge in the Meatpacking District on Aug. 11. She joined him in his room at The Dream Hotel, and when he passed out, she swiped his $20,000 Audemars Piguet watch, cops said.

Former employee of Gucci is suing Gucci over sexual harassment



An ex-employee of Gucci ,Chanel Falasco is suing the giant luxury brand claiming her manager at the downtown Chicago store followed her into a storage room and pulled out his penis.

According to the suit, he also bombarded her with crude comments about her ass and gave her the nickname ... "booty."

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Falasco says the manager tried kissing her and grabbed her by the neck, torso and ass. She claims in 2015 she was mortified when he pulled down his pants in the storage room ... and told her to perform oral sex on him, or "at least just touch it."

Magu receives threat from Ekiti State House of Assembly Over Arrest Of Finance Commissioner, AG



The Ekiti State House of Assembly has threatened to sue the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu over the arrest and detention of the State Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo and the Accountant General, Yemi Owolabi.
The House of Assembly, in its letter dated October 2, 2017 and signed by the Speaker, Kolawole Oluwawole, which was delivered at the EFCC’s Abuja office Tuesday, read;

“The court granted an Order of Interim Injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd defendants (EFCC and the Inspector General of Police, their agents, privies or any other investigative agencies, however described) from arresting, detaining or investigating any person or persons, whether past or present officials in the Ekiti State Government, without any report of indictment from the Ekiti State House of Assembly pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice filed in this suit.

Man Assaults Pregnant Girlfriend For Making Too Much Noise While Having Contractions



A Texas man has been arrested for all attacking his pregnant girlfriend. According to report, he attacked her for making too much noise while she was having contractions.
Lubbock police said the man Adam Reyna, 23, has on numerous occasions assaulted the expectant woman, including while she was having contractions.
Reyna's mom had upon seeing her son assault his woman on one occasion called police The girlfriend told authorities that on June 21 she started having contractions in the middle of the night.

The Economic and Financial Crimes EFCC today at the Gombe State High Court Gombe, secured the conviction of one Malam Umaru Kankani for offences bordering on possession of forged document. He was prosecuted before Justice Sa'ad Muhammad on one count charge.
Kankani's arrest and prosecution followed a petition alleging that sometime in June, 2016, he defrauded the complainant of N2.3million over a parcel of land situated at Federal Low-cost, Gombe, which ownership the convict fraudulently claimed.
The convict was first arraigned on 17th August, 2017 on a 2-count charge. On resumption of hearing today, an amended one count charge of possession of forged document was brought against the convict.

Man who spent 25 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit files $125m lawsuit



A Detroit man who served 25 years in prison for murder based on sham evidence has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $125million.
Desmond Ricks was released in May after making the extraordinary claim that Detroit Police framed him for a fatal shooting that killed Gerry Bennett outside a restaurant in 1992. A judge reviewed the evidence and he was exonerated.
An analysis of two bullets from the victim shows they don't match the gun that was offered as the murder weapon at Ricks' trial in 1992. He was accused of shooting a friend outside a Detroit restaurant and sentenced to at least 32 years in prison.
Attorney Wolfgang Mueller says Ricks was a victim of 'horrific' misconduct. He filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday on behalf of Ricks and two daughters.

Police arrest man for attempting to use father, two siblings, five friends for ritual



The Police in Anambra have arrested a 26-year-old man, Chukwuemeka Okafor, for allegedly attempting to use his father, two siblings and five friends for money ritual.
The suspect, who hailed from Ifite-Awka in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra, was arrested following information made available to the police by a vigilant resident of the community.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Garba Umar, who briefed newsmen in Amawbia on Thursday on the arrest of the suspect, said the father had innocently provided N100, 000 to his son unknown to him that the son had a devilish intention.
Umar said that the suspect lied to his father about a business which made him raise the money for him believing that it was a genuine venture.
