Etisalat Nigeria Change Their Name To 9mobile.


Etisalat Nigeria has just greatly accelerated the pace of its effort to stabilize the troubled telecoms company by changing the name brand.
It was exclusively gathered that the new name is 9Mobile. At an executive meeting held in Lagos two hours ago, the name 9Mobile was adopted and all staff across the country are being notified of the change of name.

Etisalat pulls out of Nigeria.


Etisalat has terminated its management agreement with its Nigerian arm and given the business time to phase out the brand in Nigeria, the chief executive of Etisalat International told Reuters on Monday.
Nigerian regulators intervened last week to save Etisalat Nigeria from collapse after talks with its lenders to renegotiate a $1.2 billion loan failed.

Etisalat Gets New Chairman, Management



Fourth largest mobile company in Nigeria, Etisalat, has a new chairman on board.
The firm, whose former chairman Hakeem Bello-Osagie resigned last week due to its debt crisis, announced the new management in a statement hy its spokesperson.
The new chairman has been revealed as Joseph Nnanna, while the other new board members are Oluseyi Bickersteth, Ken Igbokwe, Boye Olusanya and Funke Ighodaro.

First ATM in the world celebrates 50th birthday (photos)


The world’s first ATM (Automated Teller Machine), a technology which brought transformation in the way people obtained and used cash, yesterday June 27th, 2017, clocked 50 years.
As a tribute to the golden anniversary, Barclays transformed the ATM at its Enfield branch into gold, added a commemorative plaque and placed a red carpet in front for its users.
