The West African Examination Council (WAEC) recently released the results of the candidates who sat for the May/June 2017 certificate examination.
Out of over a million candidates who sat for the secondary school leaving certificate examination, the result of an unidentified candidate is being argued out to be the worst result so far.
The student had six F9s out of the registered nine subjects while having B3 in Mathematics, E8 in Civic Education and a D7 in English language. The WAEC result alleged to be the worst result in the 2017 exam.
Although WAEC does an annual estimate of the percentage of students who passed and failed, this result is thought to be the worst one seen so far.
About 923,486 candidates were able to make at least five credits including core subjects like English and Mathematics.
