‘Home Alone’ actor John Heard found dead in California hotel.
72-year-old Actor John Heard, who played the role of Macaulay Culkin in hit 90s movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, was reportedly found dead in his hotel room.
Though the cause of his death has not yet been made public, however TMZ reports that the police was called to the actor’s Palo Alto, California hotel room for a medical emergency, but Heard was pronounced dead on arrival.

JAMB: Group calls for suspension of Computer Based Test, wants Oloyede sacked
- The controversy surrounding the recently held Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is still on
- JAMB registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, is at the center of the storm
- A group has called for the sack of Professor Oloyede as a result of a fall-out from the exams.
A group, African Community Impact and Development Network (Afri-CID) has called for the suspension of Computer Based Test (CBT) in JAMB examinations till further notice, citing some anomalies, which undermines the plus of the exercise.

Davido’s uncle, senator Ademola Adeleke in an interview with National Assembly TV says he loves to dance and takes it as a form of exercise.
“Like we normally say there is time for everything. There is time to laugh. There is time to cry but most of the time I love dancing and I take it as an exercise. My kids got it(dancing) from me, Sina Rambo and B-Red and of course my nephew Davido. I train them and as a matter of fact, they will tell me that Dad, we can’t catch up with you. I love dancing” he said

The Senator whose dancing video went viral and gained him more popularity spoke in an interview in Abuja on Thursday, published on the official Twitter handle of the Nigerian Senate.
He also revealed his kids ,Sina Rambo and B-Red got their dancing skills from him.He also said he trained Davido and they all got it from him.

*MUST READ* How to check your May/June 2017 WASSCE result
- Candidates who sat for the May/June 2017 WASSCE exams can check their results on the WAEC website
- Out of 1,559,162 candidates who sat for the examinations this year, 13.79% of them had their results withheld
- The overall results also recorded a 59.22% pass in English Language and Mathematics
The results of this year’s May/June WASSCE has been released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). According to reports, the results were released on Monday July 17, and candidates can go to the Council’s website- www.waecdirect.org- to check theirs. Here are the steps to take:

Peter Okoye Of Psquare Threaten To Change Nationality As FG Ban Videos Shoot Abroad
The announcement of ban on music video and movies shot outside the country didn’t go well with one half of singing duo Peter Okoye popularly called Mr P of P-square. He has reacted to the news threatening to relocate outside the country.
Mr P took to his twitter and Instagram to vent about the proposed ban that will stop artistes and movie producers from traveling abroad for video shoot.
Recall that Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed announced that the federal government is making plan to stop entertainers from shooting abroad.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he has dropped Matthew from his names even though it was given to him by his parents.
Speaking at an event which the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) organised in his honour, Obasanjo explained that he jettisoned the name because the Biblical character, Mathew, whom he was named after, was a tax collector.
FG to stop production of Nigerian movies, music, abroad.
The FG says it has taken steps to amend the Nigeria Broadcasting Code to discourage the production of Nigerian movies and music outside the shore of the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made this known on Saturday in Lagos. The Minister decried the situation whereby films, reality TV shows and music, were made outside Nigeria, for consumption by Nigerians.

Missing N11bn petroleum products: Ubah says NNPC owes Capital Oil N16bn, alleges witch-hunt
Chairman of Capital Oil, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, yesterday denied claims that he is indebted to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to the tune of N11billion, alleging that instead, the national oil corporation is owing him N16 billion.
The visibly disturbed Ubah made this revelation yesterday while testifying in the on going public investigation by the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources(Downstream) into the alleged disappearance of 82 million metric liters of petrol belonging to the NNPC that was stored at the Capital Oil tank farm in Lagos. The oil magnate informed the committee that the NNPC blew the entire incident out of proportion, adding however that claims and counter claims by both parties are now the subject of litigation and investigation by relevant security and anti-graft agencies.
